My Galveston Getaway's goals are to help you achieve yours! Whether your property is intended solely as an investment or a hybrid of income and personal use - what matters to you matters to us! Our service to our property owners and guests cannot be matched, much less exceeded. We treat each property as if it were our own, take pride in each one, and work with vendors who feel likewise.
While you will find that there are property managers and co-hosts (a new term for those who manage without a real estate license) who will provide services for rates that may be less than ours. A wise man once asked me, when I offered a discount on our services, which part of your job are you not going to do if I take that discount? That was over ten years ago and the words have rung true to this day. We do offer different management fees based upon a number of factors & and look forward to discussing those with you when you call us for an interview.
Revenue & Technology are tied together and ever evolving and staying abreast of those changes is a priority to maximum not only number of nights rented but also average daily rates. Partnering with best-in-class service providers, our rates can change as often as 4 times a day (of course with minimums in place) as supply and demand change. These software providers dig deep – not only looking at the geographic location, but the property size and amenities offered. In the past three years My Galveston Getaway has spent well over $10,000 updating and improving the technology services, and continues to search for improvements as things change in the technology and hospitality realms.
Guest Service is top of mind with every reservation, every guest, every time. Our top priority is gest safety, followed very closely by guest satisfaction. This starts from the moment of first contact which often is online – so setting a guest’s expectations realistically is critical. After that – our goal is to exceed those expectations. From assisting with celebration preparations, offering little extras, to sometimes a card, balloon, or bottle of wine that we picked up on from conversation that would make this the guest’s best stay ever – and earn their business as repeat guests – we have a whatever it takes attitude.
Our marketing is more than just putting pretty pictures and flowery words on the internet. We work with great social media creators as well and keeping abreast of all that goes on in Galveston helps us to target market. Whether it’s a dance competition or a new weekend festival in town – our goal is for them to know who we are so they can learn about your property. When it’s financially feasible – we may sponsor such an event and offer discount codes to their participants for selecting a My Galveston Getaway managed property.
Celebrations – when asked, and sometimes when we are not asked but learn of special occasions – we are happy to assist our owners and guests with cakes, champagne, balloons, etc. Having a relationship with local bakeries and florists – or just adding something special for a guest can turn a renter into a repeater! From gender reveals, engagements, weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, even celebrations of life for those who have left us – we’re happy to help guests with suggestions or actual legwork.
Cleanliness is next to Godliness. Partnering with amazing housekeeping contractors helps us help you and is recognized in the amazing reviews we receive from our guests. Having every property ready, every time is essential. True deep cleans are done twice a year in each property, and our own staff inspects for both cleanliness as well as to ensure each property is well stocked with everything needed from forks to linens, pots & pans, etc. Recommendations are made regularly to our owners based upon our own inspections as well as guest comments.
