Welcome to your Galveston getaway! The owners have completely transformed this gorgeous 3-bedroom, 2-bath condo on the 10th floor of By the Sea, with two balconies and amazing east-to-west views. Watch the water meet the sky from this bright, airy, beautifully updated retreat!

From the moment you enter, you'll feel at home. The welcoming entryway features a table perfect for dropping your keys, organizing your belongings, or setting up a small workstation.

THE SPACE

Just beyond the entryway is the dining area, perfect for meals, family game night, or gathering with friends. You'll also find a convenient dry bar stocked with drinking glasses and a corkscrew.

Across the hall is the spacious primary bedroom, and just steps away is the well-appointed kitchen with full-size refrigerator, range, dishwasher and microwave. Whether you want to cook at home or dine your way through Galveston's incredible restaurants, you'll have what you need.

PRIMARY BEDROOM

The relaxing primary suite is the perfect place to unwind after a day at the beach, pool, The Strand, shopping, museums, or exploring Galveston's history — or after doing absolutely nothing all day!

The bedroom features a king-size bed and smart TV and is separated from the other two bedrooms for added privacy.

The ensuite bathroom includes a low-step, doorless shower with grab bar and a separate water closet. The bathroom was thoughtfully modified to reduce barriers and improve accessibility.

LIVING ROOM

Step from the kitchen into the comfortable living room, featuring plenty of seating, a flat-panel smart TV, and access to the large balcony shared with the second bedroom.
A sleeper sofa provides additional sleeping space. Sheets and pillows are located in the bedroom closet.

TWO ADDITIONAL BEDROOMS

Down the hall are two additional bedrooms, each with a queen-size bed.
The first bedroom shares balcony access with the living room. The bedroom at the end of the hall has its own private balcony.
Across the hall is the beautifully updated second full bathroom with a tub/shower combination.

The owners have made extensive improvements focused on comfort, accessibility, air quality and water quality.

Accessibility & Safety:
• Walls were removed to create a more open living space.
• Primary bathroom modified to reduce barriers.
• Pocket doors added.
• Small-curb, doorless shower installed.
• Extra-long grab bars added in both bathrooms.

Whole-Home Water Filtration:

A 4-stage whole-house water filtration system with salt-free water softener provides improved-tasting, better-smelling water that is gentler on skin and hair.
The system includes sediment filtration, KDF media, catalytic carbon filtration, and a final stage designed to eliminate channeling and increase contact time.

Air Quality:

All air ducts were replaced and internal HVAC grilles were removed and cleaned. Air is filtered through an electrostatically charged air-cleaner filter designed to reduce allergens and improve indoor air quality.

Why squeeze into a tiny hotel room when your group can stay in comfortable condos and enjoy "together time" at the pools, hot tubs and other shared amenities?
The condo is approximately 5 blocks from a major big-box store, making it easy to pick up groceries, beverages, beach necessities, forgotten items or souvenirs.

LOCATION & COMMUNITY

By the Sea Condominiums is located directly across from Babe's Beach on Galveston's Seawall.
You'll have exclusive use of the entire condo while sharing the following community amenities with other guests and residents:
• Swimming pool
• Propane grill areas
• Tennis court
• Laundry facility
• Fenced dog area
• Other common areas

GETTING AROUND

You could enjoy this condo without a car! The beach, shopping and restaurants are within walking distance, and public transportation is nearby. Galveston also offers taxis, Uber, Lyft and food delivery services including Uber Eats, DoorDash.

Self-check-in instructions are provided 3-4 days before arrival. We know that when you're on vacation, you're on vacation! If you need us, we're only a phone call or email away. For security purposes, access instructions cannot be provided earlier than this period.

WHAT'S INCLUDED

We provide:
• Bed linens for all beds
• One bath towel and washcloth per guest
• Starter supplies
• Self-check-in instructions
• Guest support

Starter supplies include: 2 rolls of 2-ply toilet paper, paper towels, dishwasher tablet, dishwashing liquid, sponge, 2 small soaps, 2 small shampoos, trash bag, coffee, sweeteners, stir sticks and powdered creamer.

These supplies are intended to get you started while you make your shopping plans. Galveston has Walmart, Kroger, Randall's, Arlan's, Target and numerous local grocery stores.

BEACH & POOL TOWELS

Beach/pool towels are not provided. If you'd like to rent them from us, the cost is $25 for condos accommodating up to 6 guests or $35 for condos accommodating up to 8 guests.
A credit card must be kept on file. Missing towels are subject to a $25 replacement charge per towel.
Please do not take the condo's bath towels to the beach or pool.

PARKING, RESORT & PET FEES

By the Sea charges its own parking/resort/amenity fee, which is paid directly to the complex upon arrival. This is not a fee charged by the owner or My Galveston Getaway.
Current complex fees:
• $37.89 per vehicle per stay, including tax — not per night.
• Anything with tires counts as a vehicle, so a truck and trailer count as two vehicles.
• $10.83 per pet per stay.
If bringing a dog, please notify My Galveston Getaway and pay our separate $75 per-dog fee. Service animals are exempt as required by applicable law.
For vacation-rental purposes, ESAs are not service animals and are not exempt from applicable rules or charges.
Due to insurance requirements, we cannot accept pit bulls, Rottweilers, German Shepherds, Dobermans, Chows, or mixed-breed dogs containing these bloodlines.
Dogs may not be on furniture, must be crated when owners are away, and must follow all City of Galveston laws and condominium regulations.

We cannot collect the condominium fees in advance. We don't make the rules — we just play by them!

SMART TVs
Many of our properties feature smart TVs. Bring your login information for your favorite streaming services and enjoy your own subscriptions. Please remember to log out before departure.

NO SMOKING OR VAPING

All properties managed by My Galveston Getaway are 100% non-smoking and non-vaping.

RENTAL AGREEMENT
After booking, you'll receive a link to complete our rental agreement. In addition to information collected by VRBO/Airbnb, we request your personal email address, names and ages of everyone staying in the property, driver's license information and an emergency contact.

Please complete this promptly so we can send your check-in instructions on time.

WEATHER & TRAVEL PROTECTION

Galveston is a barrier island in the Gulf of Mexico and is susceptible to rainstorms, thunderstorms, tropical weather and hurricanes. These can occasionally result in temporary power or Wi-Fi outages.
We strongly recommend considering trip cancellation/interruption protection through your booking platform or another provider.
My Galveston Getaway provides refunds when a governmental official issues a mandatory evacuation of the island. Unfortunately, we cannot control sunshine, temperatures, mosquitoes or other weather conditions, and refunds are not provided except as specified by our evacuation policy.

Rates & Availability

Cancellation Policy: One hundred percent (100.00%) of the total booking charges (less $100.00 taxable cancellation fee) will be refunded if the cancellation is made more than 30 days prior to the arrival date of the reservation. Fifty percent (50.00%) of the total booking charges (less $100.00 taxable cancellation fee) will be refunded if the cancellation is made more than 14 days prior to the arrival date of the reservation. For cancellations made within 14 days prior to the arrival date, no refund will be issued.
