Want A SHORE THING for your Galveston stay - stay at A Shore Thing! Perfect 1 BR/1 Bath condo with gulf views, easy access to all Galveston has to offer, and at a complex with 2 pools, 2 hot tubs, grilling/picnic areas and so much more! The Victorian complex is conveniently located on Seawall Boulevard, and this condo is on the "quieter" side of things - benefits of the complex and all it's amenities without the road noise from probably the busiest road on the island.

From the moment you step inside you'll feel welcomed and relaxed - soothed by shades that evoke calmness and relaxation, and everything needed for your perfect vacation. From the comfy queen bed in the private bedroom, to the bunks conveniently across the hall for the littles (or not so littles as they are sturdy, true twin beds (where others may have "camper" type bunk beds), to the kitchen with everything you'll need to whip up breakfast, lunch or dinner, or warm up leftovers from one of Galveston's hundreds of restaurants to suit everyone's culinary palates. Or make popcorn curl up on the couch and watch a movie when you're not out funin' in the sun! That sofa also pulls out to make a queen bed - so you can squeeze up to 6 people if that's your fancy!

Welcome to The Victorian!
Located directly on Seawall Boulevard across from Babe’s Beach, The Victorian puts you right in the heart of Galveston’s beachfront. Traffic signals at both corners provide safe pedestrian access to the beach. A large box store beginning with “W” is conveniently located next door, and restaurants, sandwich shops, BBQ, and other necessities are all within walking distance.
Your Condo & Resort Amenities
You will have exclusive use of the entire condo during your stay. You will also have access to the shared amenities throughout The Victorian, including:
• Two swimming pools, including one heated seasonally
• Two hot tubs
• Fitness center
• Tennis court
• BBQ grills and picnic areas
• BBQ pergolas
• Fish-cleaning station
• Multiple outdoor gathering and relaxation areas
These amenities are shared with other guests and residents of the condominium complex.
Occupancy
Please remember that every person counts toward occupancy, regardless of age, size, or sleeping arrangements. Occupancy limits are established by the property owners in conjunction with the fire department and the condominium association.
Yes, even infants count toward the maximum occupancy. (Fortunately, pregnant guests do not count twice!)
Starter Supplies
Before each guest arrives, we provide starter supplies including:
• Paper towels
• Toilet paper
• Hand/body soap
• Shampoo and conditioner
• Dishwashing supplies
• Trash bags
• Starter coffee supplies
These are intended to get you through your arrival and give you time to determine what shopping option works best for your group. They are starter supplies and are not intended to last for the entire duration of your stay.
We want you to be able to walk through the door, use the restroom, and enjoy that first cup of coffee before making your first grocery run!
Linens & Towels
All beds are made with fresh linens before your arrival. If you arrive late, there is no need to make the beds or bring or rent your own sheets.
We provide one bath towel, one washcloth, and one hand towel per guest, based on the home's maximum occupancy of 6 guests.
We do not provide complimentary beach towels. We previously did, but they had a tendency to find their way home with guests!
Customized beach towels are available to rent for $35 for the duration of your stay. A credit card will be required in case a towel is not returned. The replacement cost is $25 per towel.
Checkout
You do not need to perform a full cleaning before you leave, and we do not ask you to strip the beds.
At checkout, we simply ask that you:
• Remove all food from the condo and refrigerator.
• Leave a note for future guests with any restaurant, shopping, or excursion recommendations you discovered.
• Lock the door behind you.
• Give us a call when you're ready to make your next Galveston reservation!
If you spend time at the beach, please use the outdoor showers near the pool before returning to the condo and shake sand from your towels. If you happen to bring a significant amount of sand into the condo, we would appreciate it if you would sweep it up. Sand can make floors slippery, so this is primarily a safety issue.
Rental Agreement & Check-In
After making your reservation, you will receive a link to complete our rental agreement.
The additional information we request beyond what is typically collected by booking platforms such as VRBO or Airbnb includes:
• Your personal email address
• The name and age of every person staying at the property
• Driver's license information
• An emergency contact
Please complete the rental agreement promptly so we can provide your check-in information.
Approximately 3–5 days before arrival, we will email the guest who made the reservation with driving directions and check-in instructions. We will then call approximately 24–48 hours later to make sure you received the information, verify that the access code is correct, and answer any last-minute questions.
We are always available if you need assistance. In general, we give our guests plenty of privacy to enjoy their vacation—but please know that we're here whenever you need us!
HVAC Guidelines
Please help us take care of the home's HVAC system by following the recommendations of our HVAC professionals:
• Do not change the thermostat by more than 3 degrees per hour.
• In summer, please do not set the AC below 70°F.
• In winter, please do not set the heat above 74°F.
• Keep the fan setting on AUTO.
• If doors or windows are open, please turn the HVAC system off.
• Please maintain no more than a 20-degree difference between the outdoor and indoor temperatures to prevent excessive strain on the system.

You Don't Necessarily Need a Car
A car is certainly convenient, but it is not required to enjoy your stay.
The beach, shopping, and several restaurants are within walking distance. Public transportation is available nearby, and Galveston also has local and national taxi services, rideshare options such as Uber and Lyft, and food delivery through services such as Uber Eats and DoorDash.
Victorian Parking, Resort & Amenity Fee
The Victorian condominium complex charges a parking/resort/amenity fee. This fee is charged by The Victorian—not by My Galveston Getaway or the individual condo owner—and is paid directly to the complex upon arrival.
The complex will issue your parking permit and may provide wristbands identifying authorized guests. They will also provide access codes for the drive-through and pedestrian gates, pools, hot tubs, fitness center, and the complex-wide Wi-Fi system. The Wi-Fi password changes monthly.
Current fees are:
• Up to 7 consecutive nights: $40 + tax, including up to 2 parking permits
• 8–31 days: $80 + tax
• Extended stays: $80 + tax per month
We cannot collect this fee in advance or pay it to The Victorian on your behalf. We don't make the rules—we just play by them!
Laundry
There is no washer or dryer inside the condo.
The Victorian has several pay-per-use laundry facilities throughout the complex. These facilities accept credit and debit cards.
Smart TVs
Many units at The Victorian now have Smart TVs. Please bring your login information if you would like to use your own streaming subscriptions, and remember to log out of your accounts before checking out.
Pets
The Victorian condominium complex does not allow renters to have pets.
If you are traveling with Fido or Fifi, please take a look at the other My Galveston Getaway properties that are specifically designated as dog-friendly.
True service animals are an exception, although the condominium complex may request appropriate verification.
For short-term vacation rentals, emotional support animals are not considered service animals under the applicable rules, and we are unable to make exceptions to a policy established and enforced by the condominium complex.
We appreciate your understanding and respectful compliance with this rule.
No Smoking or Vaping
All properties managed by My Galveston Getaway are 100% non-smoking and non-vaping properties.
No one likes rules, but we must all live by them:
We love welcoming responsible adults and families to our property. Unfortunately, we are required to make all guests aware of the following policy:
If any guest is removed from the premises by the complex’s management, security personnel, or any member of law enforcement, the entire reservation for all guests will be terminated immediately. In such circumstances, no refund will be issued for any remaining portion of the reservation.
We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in helping us maintain a safe, respectful, and enjoyable environment for everyone.

Weather, Storms & Travel Protection
Galveston is a barrier island located in the Gulf of Mexico and is naturally susceptible to rainstorms, thunderstorms, tropical weather, and the occasional hurricane. Severe weather can sometimes result in temporary power or Wi-Fi outages.
We strongly encourage guests to consider purchasing trip cancellation and interruption protection, either through the booking platform or another provider.
My Galveston Getaway provides refunds when a governmental authority issues a mandatory evacuation order for Galveston Island, in accordance with our applicable cancellation policy.
Unfortunately, we cannot control the weather, temperatures, sunshine, mosquitoes, or other conditions beyond our control, and refunds are not provided for these circumstances except as specifically covered by our evacuation/refund policy.

Elevators
Elevators on the Gulf Coast—particularly those located this close to the beach—can be more susceptible to problems because of moisture, humidity, and salt air.
Unfortunately, My Galveston Getaway has no control over elevator operation. Whenever we become aware of an elevator outage, we notify the condominium complex, request an estimated repair time, and will share available information with our guests when asked.
Please help minimize elevator problems by not allowing children to play in the elevators, pushing unnecessary buttons, or holding elevator doors open.

Rates & Availability

Cancellation Policy: One hundred percent (100.00%) of the total booking charges (less $100.00 taxable cancellation fee) will be refunded if the cancellation is made more than 30 days prior to the arrival date of the reservation. Fifty percent (50.00%) of the total booking charges (less $100.00 taxable cancellation fee) will be refunded if the cancellation is made more than 14 days prior to the arrival date of the reservation. For cancellations made within 14 days prior to the arrival date, no refund will be issued.

Each platform charges a fee to use their site - those charges are included in our rates, as are the cleaning fee, City and State required occupancy taxes, etc.
